Bharatpur Bird Photography Tour – Capture Rajasthan’s Winged Wonders
Welcome to the Bharatpur Bird Photography Tour, a journey into one of India’s most iconic wetlands — the Keoladeo National Park, formerly known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.
Spread across the heart of Rajasthan, Bharatpur is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Asia’s finest birding destinations. Its vast mosaic of wetlands, woodlands, and grassy meadows transforms each winter into a paradise alive with color and sound. Over 350 bird species, from graceful cranes and storks to vibrant kingfishers and pelicans, fill the air with movement and melody.
As dawn light filters through the mist, and reflections shimmer across tranquil waters, photographers are treated to endless moments of natural poetry. Whether you’re a beginner with a passion for birds or a seasoned wildlife photographer, Bharatpur promises to be a breathtaking experience — one frame at a time.

Itinerary – 4 Days of Bird Photography in Bharatpur
Day 1: Arrival & First Birding Session
Arrive at Bharatpur by noon and check into your cozy lodge near the sanctuary. After a delicious lunch, head out for your first evening birding session inside Keoladeo National Park. The golden hour paints the wetlands in warm hues as you photograph herons, storks, and winter migrants gliding across still waters.
Return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxed discussion about bird behavior and photography basics.
