Itinerary

The tour commences on Day 1 at Munnar post check-in and concludes on Day 3 after breakfast and group departure.

Day 1:
Arrive at Munnar and check into your cozy stay nestled amidst the lush Western Ghats. Post lunch, we dive straight into the world of macro with an exciting macro photography session, where you’ll explore the forest floor in search of vibrant frogs, insects, and more.
As night falls, we head out for our first night herping session—a guided walk under the stars to encounter the nocturnal wonders of Munnar’s wildscape. Expect to spot shimmering frogs, colorful snakes, and curious eyes peeking from the undergrowth.
Return to the hotel and rest up for a thrilling day ahead.

Day 2:
After a relaxed morning, we prepare for a special off-road expedition to track some of Munnar’s most elusive species—the Resplendent Bush Frog and Günther’s Vine Snake. We travel 30 km by jeep (20 km on-road, 10 km off-road) into the heart of their habitat, guided by our local experts and mentors. This session is a rare opportunity to photograph and observe species that are difficult to find elsewhere.
After returning, take some time to unwind at the property and gear up for another night herping session post dinner, offering fresh chances to discover new species and sharpen your macro skills.

Day 3:
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast amidst the hills before checking out. With memory cards full of magic and hearts full of wonder, we bid farewell to Munnar and depart for Cochin with stories to tell and species to remember.
