THE GREAT OUTDOOR ADVENTURE CAMP

The camp starts with lunch on Day 1 and ends with breakfast on Day 5, both included in the cost. Travel to and from the camp is not included but can be arranged for an extra charge if needed.

The adventure begins with an exciting visit to the Auroville Botanical Garden, where participants will embark on a guided nature walk, discovering a variety of plant species, understanding plantation techniques, and learning about the role of native and exotic flora in the ecosystem. This immersive experience will introduce campers to the beauty and importance of biodiversity.

After an insightful time in nature, the group will head to the campsite to unwind and refresh. As the sun sets, campers will gather around a lively campfire, engaging in interactive games, storytelling sessions, and team-building activities that set the perfect tone for the days ahead. The day concludes with a delicious dinner under the stars, fostering camaraderie and excitement for the journey ahead.

The day starts with an engaging shore walk, where campers explore the coastal habitat, studying the ecosystem, tidal patterns, marine life, and the impact of environmental changes on coastal biodiversity. Guided by experts, participants will learn to observe, identify, and understand how coastal flora and fauna adapt to their surroundings.

Returning to the property, campers will engage in a creative nature journaling session—a hands-on activity where they document their observations, sketch plant species, and reflect on their experiences. This practice enhances mindful observation skills and deepens their connection with nature.

After a hearty lunch, participants will dive into the art of pottery making, shaping clay into beautiful creations inspired by nature. This tactile experience introduces them to traditional craftsmanship while fostering creativity and patience. The evening wraps up with interactive games and discussions around the campfire, reinforcing the day's learnings through fun and storytelling.

The morning kicks off with an exciting kayaking adventure through the tranquil mangrove ecosystem. After returning to the property and enjoying a well-earned lunch, the group will set off for an exploratory trek through a man-made forest. Here, they will learn about the Tropical Dry Evergreen Forest (TDEF) and its significance in reforestation efforts. The guided walk will shed light on forest restoration, native plant species, and the role of afforestation in climate resilience.

As the day winds down, campers will gather for another enriching campfire session, enjoying a relaxing dinner and engaging in discussions about their day's adventures.

The morning begins with an exciting visit to a Chocolate Factory, where campers will get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how cocoa beans are transformed into delicious chocolate. They will learn about chocolate-making techniques, ethical sourcing of ingredients, and the fascinating history of cocoa cultivation. This visit offers a delightful sensory experience as they explore different flavors and textures of handcrafted chocolates.

Later in the evening, the group will visit the Sound Garden, an innovative space filled with interactive sound installations made from natural materials. Campers will explore how acoustics, vibrations, and organic materials create harmonious sounds, providing a unique blend of science and creativity.

As night falls, the campfire session will introduce participants to the mysterious world of moths, learning about their importance in the ecosystem, nocturnal behavior, and the vital role they play in pollination. The day ends with discussions and reflections under the starry night sky.

The final day starts with a thrilling sea exploration by boat, where campers will witness the diverse marine ecosystem, observe local fishing techniques, and learn about the interdependence of marine species.

Following this, they will visit the archaeological site of Arikamedu, an ancient Indo-Roman trading settlement. This guided tour will give them insights into ancient trade, maritime history, and the excavation discoveries that connect this site to civilizations of the past.

The journey continues with an immersive bird-watching session, where campers will spot and identify various bird species in their natural habitat. They will learn about bird migration patterns, their role in the ecosystem, and how to observe them through sight and sound.

After a final group breakfast and reflection session, participants will capture memories with a group photo, marking the end of an unforgettable journey filled with exploration, learning, and adventure.
