Hand-on Activities

The program kicks off with a brief introduction on the current state of the planet, focusing on environmental challenges like habitat loss, pollution, and climate change, which highlights the urgent need for awareness and action.

The curator introduces the participants to the activities of the day, explaining the importance of hands-on crafting projects like nesting boxes, rafts, sundials, and sonar devices. Each craft is designed to demonstrate sustainable practices that align with nature conservation and climate action efforts.

Participants, either working in groups or individually, will then dive into the crafting process, using waste materials to create these practical tools. As they work, the curator explains the ecological benefits of these creations—such as providing shelter for wildlife, understanding navigation, and using natural resources wisely—and how they can be applied to real-world conservation efforts.

After completing their crafts, participants will learn how to celebrate and coexist with nature, fostering a deeper appreciation for environmental stewardship. The program culminates with the collective creation of a special craft dedicated to the planet Earth, which will be proudly showcased as a symbol of their commitment to sustainability and a greener future.
